Day 2: Cape Town. After breakfast, your guide will take you on a half day tour of Cape Town and Table Mountain. Afternoon at your leisure.

Day 3: Cape Town. Your private guide will be waiting for you after breakfast to begin a full day of touring. Head to Cape Point at the south western tip of the Cape Peninsula and enjoy some of the most spectacular views in the world. On arrival in Hout Bay, a small fishing village, you’ll jump on board for a short sail across the bay to Duiker Island to view the Cape Fur Seals which inhabit the island. Travel onto the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve which is home to a variety of wildlife including baboons, Eland, tortoises and birds. Enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing your tour along the coastline of False Bay, travel past Simon’s Town Naval base and stop for a visit to the famous Kirstenbosch National Gardens for a short walking tour before returning to Cape Town. Evening at leisure.

Day 4/5: Wine Route Tour. With your palate ready for great food and wine, you’ll head to South Africa’s wine region of Constantia, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschoek for a two day private tour. First stop – Constantia, home to just 5 estates, all good: Klein Constantia, Groot Constantia, Buitervenwachting, Constantia Uitsig and Steenberg. On to Paarl, home to several leading producers including Veenwouden, Nederburg, Fairview, Glen Carlou and Plaisir de Merle. Stellenbosch, South Africa’s leading wine area, is home to many of the country’s leading estates. In addition to the wine tastings along the route, you will visit many wonderful places to dine, glass blowing factories with amazing pieces to purchase and historic buildings of 16th century Cape Dutch architecture. An interactive dinner at La Couronne is included, voted amongst the world’s top 50 most exciting dining venues by Conde Nast Traveler. Accommodations at Le Quartier Francais, a small privately owned auberge – emphasis on luxury and romantic charm in the centre of Franschhoek.

Day 6: After a leisurely breakfast, return to the airport in Cape Town for your flight to Johannesburg. Greeting and assistance upon arrival and Transfer to the Fairlawns Hotels. Treat yourself to a massage or other treatment at the Spa located in the hotel, or perhaps enjoy a Candlelit dinner in the private dining-room, in the restaurant or on the terrace.

Day 7/8:Thornybush Game Reserve. Return to the airport for the flight to Hoedspruit Airport. On arrival at Jackalberry Lodge, in time for lunch and a safari briefing before heading out on safari.

Day 9/10: Camp Jabulani is a sublime experience. Situated within the Kapama Private Game Reserve in South Africa, this luxury safari camp consists of 6 suites. Following an interview with each guest, you are partnered with an elephant based on temperament for your gaming activities. Camp Jabulani offers the only night safari on elephant back in the world! Guests have the opportunity of ‘tucking’ the elephants into their stables for the evening ahead, and of witnessing first hand the mutual respect and genuine fondness between the elephants and their tenders.

Day 11: Final game viewing and farewell to your elephant partner. Brunch is followed by a short ride to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg to connect with your international flight.
